I was looking for an uplifting book to remind me of what the life touched by god can be and instead i read what felt like several acrimonious debates. Mary has told the visionaries in medjugorje to have people read the 5 volumes of the poem of the man god if they want to know more about her son. The poem of the mangod brings the stories of the bible to life in vivid detail. It was the most amazing and awe inspiring experience. Walter macken was an irish writer of short stories, novels and plays. For those who dont know, there are quite a few more books circulating which have information not contained in poem. If you liked william bennetts book of virtues, you are sure to like his newest book, the book of man. This book would have been a lot better if the author had simply made his case for his interpretation of cowpers life and then moved on.
